How to Post Stories

To submit your story, you’ll need to quickly create an account and then draft it. To make this easy, I’ve prepared a step-by-step list of instructions below. Please know that your email address is only used for login, password retrieval and notifications from this site. Your personal information will be kept private.

1. Register an account.

You can register using the link in the menu or by clicking HERE. You will be sent an email with a link to set your password.

2. Log in.

Once you have set your password, you will be taken to a login page. You can also log in via the menu on this page or by clicking HERE. From there you will be taken to a dashboard with all of the actions you can take as a user.

3. Draft a post.

On this dashboard, you can begin writing a story by clicking theĀ “New” button at the top of the screen. While writing the story, you can add images with the “Add Media” button in the top-left of the drafting page.

4. Submit it.

When you are done, click the blue “Submit for Review” button in the top-right of the drafting page. Your story will be submitted for approval, which takes up to 48 hours. This process is only to keep spammers from posting advertisements to this website. Your story will not be altered.

5. Keep writing!

One of the goals of this project is to keep the oral history of our family alive. The more you contribute, the more others (now and in the future) can share in your story. Feel free to also comment on other stories shared by our family.
